Book Launch: You’re Welcome!

In his book, The Spirit of Politics: A Narrative of South Sudan’s Journey, From a Futuristic Perspective, Paul Deng Joshua Leek talks about the history of South Sudan as well as the future that he dreams of for his beloved country, South Sudan. 

“When I think of the sacrifices that were made by so many great South Sudanese, as we embraced our own identity and redemptive purpose, which is so clearly recorded in the Bible, I thank the Lord because He has been so faithful and merciful to us to release wonderful knowledge that created the turning point to victory. When we began to understand our role as the Church in government, leadership and especially politics, that is when our nation began to turn slowly but surely into her destiny – steered by Christian politicians, businessmen and businesswomen.

I had been taking our church through that series as a teaching, then I realized that each of these areas was an opportunity to disciple our people in their strength. This story I am telling you is the area in which He showed me how we can begin to be strong politically,” Paul writes. 

Today you are enjoying the fruits of a peaceful, corruption-free government because we took the time to learn and teach these truths from the Bible. When we read the Bible and pray, He reveals unique things which help us to see our future and the strategies which will keep us a step ahead of others. 

“Since 1955, forty-nine years had elapsed since the South Sudan people began to fight for independence from the north. We were entering into what I call an epoch-making season which was directly an ordination of the Lord and not any amount of human effort. Even if we did not want to have peace talks with the North, we were going to enter our season of rest as a nation. A jubilee season is a gift of God to all people.” Paul passionately writes. 

This book is going to be launched on the 17th of September, 2022, at the Rebuilding Ministries International, Green Rokon in Juba, South Sudan from 3 pm.
